Managing presence indicators such as Available, Busy, or Away to reflect user availability
Hi @Lukas,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern.
I completely understand your concern about visibility and proper representation of your name in Microsoft Teams. If your name includes Polish diacritical characters, such as Łukasz Ącki, others can still find you by typing the equivalent without diacritics (for example, Lucas). The search system is diacritic-insensitive, so both versions will match.
To make things clearer and avoid issues with avatar initials, please reach out to your IT administrator to move any academic titles from the Display Name field to another dedicated attribute. This ensures your initials and profile display correctly while keeping your name authentic. If you’d like, you can also upload a profile photo for better recognition.
I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
I look forward to continuing the conversation.
