About a month ago, the 5 users in our office starting having ethernet issues for certain websites. I have narrowed it down to the MS Surface Dock 2. If I bypass that with an ethernet cord into one of the USB-C ports, everything works perfectly. I have checked the Dock 2 and it says the firmware is up to date. I have also rebooted the Dock 2 per MS instructions. I tried to take the long road of contacting Microsoft only to find out that Surface Support "has moved online". Has anyone else run into this issue or have some helpful advice?

MS Surface Pro 9, Windows 11 Pro, MS Surface Dock 2.

It sounds like you're experiencing connectivity issues specifically with the MS Surface Dock 2. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can consider:

    1. Check Ethernet Cable and Port: Ensure that the Ethernet cable is functioning properly and try using a different port on the dock if available.
    2. Update Drivers and Firmware: Even though you mentioned that the firmware is up to date, double-check if there are any additional driver updates available for the Surface Dock 2 and the Surface Pro 9. You can find the latest drivers and firmware on the Microsoft support site.
    3. Network Configuration: Sometimes, network settings can cause issues. Check the network settings on the Surface Pro 9 to ensure they are configured correctly.
    4. Reset Network Settings: You might consider resetting the network settings on the Surface Pro 9. This can sometimes resolve underlying issues with network adapters.
    5. Test with Another Dock: If possible, test with another Surface Dock 2 to determine if the issue is with the dock itself or the Surface Pro 9.
    6. Contact Support: Since you mentioned difficulties reaching Microsoft Support, consider using the Surface Support Portal for assistance. This portal provides a centralized solution for creating service requests and tracking device repairs.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to engage with the Surface community forums or reach out to Microsoft through the Surface Support Portal for more targeted assistance.
