Hello I am having an issue logging into teams, Twice I missed an interview with a City Agency. I am getting a message which states," the account that you're using doesn't have access to this meeting due to org policies". I have used my Teams in the past for all sorts of Government and city meetings. Please advise what has changed. Can someone assist in finding what needs to be modified in my account?

This can happen when you use a personal Microsoft account to access a meeting hosted by organization account. The organization settings need to specifically allows meeting to be accessed by personal Microsoft account in order for you to join, so it is a settings on their end that need to change.

However, you can do it this way in the future to join the meetings.

Paste the meeting link in browser incognito mode. When prompted to use app, don't. stick with web.

When prompted to sign in, also don't. You will be let into meeting that way.

The message you are encountering, "the account that you're using doesn't have access to this meeting due to org policies," typically indicates that there are restrictions set by your organization regarding external access or meeting policies. Here are a few potential causes and resolutions:

    1. External Access Settings: Your organization may have blocked external domains or set policies that restrict access to meetings. If the meeting is organized by a different organization, their external access settings might also be affecting your ability to join.
    2. Anonymous Join Settings: If you are trying to join as an anonymous user, your organization might have disabled the option for anonymous users to join meetings. This setting can prevent you from accessing meetings if you are not signed in with a work or school account.
    3. User-Level Policies: There may be user-level policies in place that restrict your access to certain meetings. This can happen if your account has specific limitations set by your organization's IT administrators.

To resolve this issue, you should:

    • Ensure that you are signed in with the correct work or school account that has permission to join the meeting.
    • Contact your IT administrator to check if there are any restrictions on your account or if the meeting organizer needs to adjust their settings to allow your domain.

If you continue to experience issues, it may be helpful to reach out to Microsoft support or your organization's IT helpdesk for further assistance.
