Account Suspended

I created a Microsoft Advertising account and imported campaigns from Google (which was likely a mistake). The account remained idle, and I did not add a payment method. A day later, I was asked to complete the account verification process. I submitted the required documents after 5–6 days.

When I logged in today (6th Feb 2026), the account showed as suspended. I haven’t run any ads, explored the UI, or started any campaign-yet the account was suspended instantly.

I tried contacting Microsoft customer support and managed to chat with Cheska, though I’m not sure if it was an AI assistant or a real agent. I was informed that the account cannot be reinstated.

I’m struggling to understand how an account can be suspended without running a single campaign. Did I violate any policy simply by creating an account and importing campaigns?

It seems that your account was suspended due to policies related to account verification and usage. Microsoft Advertising may suspend accounts for various reasons, including inactivity or failure to complete the verification process satisfactorily. Even if you did not run any ads or campaigns, the act of creating an account and importing campaigns could trigger a review process that led to the suspension if there were concerns about compliance with their policies.

For detailed reasons behind your account suspension, it is advisable to discuss this further with your Account Manager or Microsoft Advertising support. They can provide specific insights into why your account was suspended and whether there are any options for reinstatement.
