I set up a Teams Webinar as usual and when I preview the site, it says join instead of register. It is not recognizing the registration requirements I have entered.

    Hi @Mike Riley

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Microsoft Teams’ webinar platform treats the event organizer and co-organizers as hosts, not attendees. As a result:

    • Organizers and co-organizers cannot register as attendees for the events they host.
    • When you click the Register button while signed in as an organizer, Teams recognizes your account as a host and redirects you to the organizer join experience, not the attendee registration flow, even though the button appears active on the public event page.

I tested this behavior in my own environment, and indeed, when not signed in, the Register button remains enabled and leads to the attendee registration form:  User's imageUser's image

By default, as an organizer, you are already registered and don’t need to go through the attendee registration process. If you would like to test the attendee registration experience, you can:

Open the webinar link in a private/incognito browser window.

Sign out of your organizer account and sign in with a non-organizer account (such as a guest or personal Microsoft account)

I hope this response has helped address your question and clarify the behavior you're experiencing. Please feel free to reply if you have any further questions, I would be happy to assist further.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. I look forward to continuing the conversation.

Thank you for this answer. I was able to view "register" in incognito mode as directed.
