Strange problem that is really ticking me off. When I close Edge and reopen it next I want a clean slate. Right now, I close it and it opens as if I have "Open tabs from the previous session" active. As you can see below, I don't. However, every time I reopen Edge now it reopens whatever I had open and I have to close each tab. I've used the Reset settings option in Edge Settings. I've done a Repair in Windows Settings. I've completely uninstalled, restarted then reinstalled. Same ****. Any ideas on **what** is going on?
Oh, and a follow up note, I have zero Extensions installed. It also will not let me turn off "Preload your new tab page". If I turn it off and close the browser, it comes back on with it activated.
Launching Microsoft Edge on Windows 11

Please open Task Manager and close all Edge processes. Then press Win+R simultaneously and type: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge
Delete the User Data folder, then reopen Edge to see if it's back to normal.
I followed the instructions, however, even after making sure I had closed all Edge processes it said files were open by an active process. I figured out it was UninstallDaemon32 that had the preferences file open. I killed that process, deleted the folder and opened Edge again. It asked me to sign into my profile and now seems to be working properly.
