How to change settings in new Teams (Mac app) to make event details visible

I'm on Mac OS 26.2 (25C56), Teams 26032.605.4378.6183. When I click on an event in my calendar, the details are barely visible because the background of the event card is transparent. It just looks like multiple layers of text displayed on top of one another, completely unusable. I assume this is a bug, but I don't know if there is a feature or customization that I need to change to have this work correctly. I've tried toggling light/dark mode on my computer and all available settings in the app and there is no change in behavior. Please help!

    Dear @Luke Barber,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you wonder there is a setting or workaround to fix the transparent, unreadable event details in the new Teams Mac calendar

In this case, because macOS 26 uses the new transparent Liquid interface, applications appear more transparent and become harder to read. In this situation, I have a few suggestions that you may consider.

Reduce or disable the “liquid” transparency

System Settings > Accessibility > Display

    Turn Reduce Transparency ON

This makes menus, panels, and cards opaquer and more readable

    Control icon & window tinting

    System Settings > Appearance

Icon & Widget Style: Default / Dark / Clear / Tinted

Toggle Tint window background with wallpaper color

If you’ve tried the solutions above but still can’t resolve the issue, as a forum moderator and my testing environment is limited, I recommend posting on the Apple Community. There, you’ll find experts and experienced users who have extensive experience troubleshooting issues with Apple devices.
