New Outlook not downloading all my network solutions emails after sync

I recently "upgraded" from office 2019 to office 2024 on a new computer. I was forced to upgrade (per microsoft) from classic outlook to new outlook, otherwise office would not upgrade. So far this has been a disaster, involving lost emails, time to restore old emails, etc. My biggest problem now is that when I load new outlook, which I set up as a pop account (I thought), it does not download all of my emails from my network solutions professional email account (network solutions hosts my domain name), even after several syncs. Nor does it remove the downloaded emails from the network solutions email account. I can verify that the download is not complete by going into the web-based network solutions account and seeing emails that are not downloaded. Anybody have an idea to help?

    To help determine the most appropriate solution, please provide the following information:

    • In Network Solutions webmail, are the emails that do not appear in Outlook located in the Inbox, or in another folder (Spam/Junk, Archive, or a custom folder)?

    Based on this information, I will determine the cause and suggest the appropriate next steps.
