Brother has not released an Arm64 driver for this model.

As a result, the Surface sees the printer but can’t load a proper driver, so it doesn’t install or work correctly.

Sometimes Windows’ generic Mopria drivers will support basic printing over Wi-Fi .Try to add the printer via Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners and select the network-listed Brother printer.
