Can't download more than 1 photo at a time on a shared link

When I share a link with someone of a folder with photos I uploaded in OneDrive (the setting is anyone can edit), they can download one by one when they open the link, but they cannot select more than one photo to download - the moment they select all or click more than one photo, the download option/button disappears. How can I fix this? As it is too time consuming to download each photo separately.

    Dear @Tiana Smith,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that when you share a OneDrive folder using a sharing link, the recipient can download photos one by one, but when they select more than one photo, the Download option disappears.

Could you please confirm whether the recipient has signed in their Microsoft account? Because, this behavior is expected with OneDrive shared links when files are accessed through the web, especially by external users or users who are not signed in with a Microsoft account. In these cases, OneDrive currently supports downloading files individually, but bulk download (selecting multiple files or “Select all”) is not available through the shared‑link experience.

At the moment, there is no setting that can be changed to enable multi‑file download from a shared link. However, you can consider the following workarounds:

Ask the recipient to sign in with a Microsoft account and add the shared folder to their OneDrive. This may allow them to download multiple files together.

Compress the photos into a ZIP file before sharing, so the recipient only needs to download one file.

If the recipient is part of your organization, share access directly to the library instead of using an anonymous link.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If I misunderstood what you’re looking for or you have any further questions or need further clarification, feel free to let me know or share a screenshot. I’d be happy to help further!

    Thank you for your cooperation.
