Need to install Microsoft 365 apps on a Mac running Monterey OS.

I have a subscription to Microsoft 365 Family. One of my Macs can only be upgraded to MacOS Monterey and nothing newer. How can I install Microsoft 365 apps on that older Mac?

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

Which macOS Monterey version runs on the Mac, for example 12.6 or 12.7?

macOS Monterey still installs Microsoft 365, but only older builds work. Newer Microsoft 365 installers require macOS 13 Ventura or later. Monterey systems still run the apps, but no new updates or security updates arrive.

    • Microsoft 365 installs on macOS Monterey with older builds such as version 16.88

    • New Microsoft 365 installers require macOS 13 or newer

    • Monterey devices run the apps but stop receiving updates after version 16.88
