I have a microsoft licence and seem to be using an outdated desktop version of office. How do I check my versions are uptodate and also how would I install the latest versions? I have also purchased the copilot 365 version to use and need assistance in using this as well

    Hi @Anne Barnes

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding your request to check your Microsoft licensing and ensure your Office apps are up to date, I’d like to gather a bit more information so I can better understand your situation and assist you effectively.

I noticed your question is posted under the Business tag, so my initial guidance will focus on work/school (Microsoft 365) accounts.

If this issue is happening with a personal Microsoft account instead, could you please let me know so I can adjust the troubleshooting steps accordingly?

May I ask which subscription did you purchased?

You could check by going to this link and log in to your account : My account  User's image

To download Microsoft 365 office app first go to office 365.

Then you choose App > All apps

    Then you choose Install apps

Then you will be able to download and install the office apps

To check the office app version, open any office app (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Then go to File > Account you could check what version you are having

Thank you again for your time and understanding. While this reply may not resolve the issue immediately, the additional details will help me provide more accurate guidance.

I appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. I look forward to your response.
