Unexpected suspension on identity validation

Hello.

I have been using “Trusted Signing” to sign my application for two years now.

I pay all my invoices on time and have never had any problems with the service.

But a couple of hours ago, I received an email saying “Artifact Signing account has been revoked by the Artifact Signing team.”

Along with it, I received an email stating that my "Artifact Signing account had been found to be misused/abused."

This is surprising, especially considering that I last used the service ~30 days ago + my identity validation expires in November 2026 (I successfully renewed my verification in November 2025).

I also did not give anyone access to the service (I was always the only one who signed files).

I still haven't been able to find a detailed reason why this happened in the Azure Portal.

It would be great to fix this misunderstanding. Where can I go to get help?

Artifact Signing can suspend an account or revoke certificates if a certificate is determined to be misused or abused according to the service Terms of Use. In such cases, the service engages directly with the subscriber and follows the CA/Browser Forum CSBR guidelines. There is no self-service path in the Azure portal to reverse this; resolution requires working with Microsoft support.

To get help and clarification on the suspension:

    1. Open an Azure Support request from the subscription that owns the Artifact Signing account and describe that the Artifact Signing account has been suspended for suspected misuse/abuse.
    2. Alternatively, use Microsoft Q&A with the artifact-signing tag to request assistance and guidance on your specific case.
    3. If you or others suspect misuse or abuse of Artifact Signing certificates (for example, if you believe your certificate or account may have been compromised), it can also be reported via the public abuse channel at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission.

The Artifact Signing team and/or Microsoft support will then review the case, provide details as appropriate, and advise on next steps (including any remediation or possible reinstatement).
