    Hi @Abdul Khaliq Karim,

Thank you for reaching out about the difficulty you’re experiencing when creating calendar events in Teams, the new Outlook, and Outlook on the web. I understand how inconvenient it is to repeatedly encounter the “Something went wrong” error, especially since everything continues to work normally in the classic Outlook.

Here are suggestion steps you can try to fix it:

    1. Restart your PC

A fresh restart can help reset any temporary issues affecting your calendar services.

    2. Update Teams and the New Outlook

Make sure both applications are running the latest available version, as earlier builds had known issues where calendar events failed to send, which Microsoft has since addressed.

    3. Clear cached data for New Outlook and Outlook on the web

    • Close the New Outlook app.
    • Open the Run window (Windows + R) and enter: olk.exe --devtools

    undefined

(Be sure to include a space before the double dashes.)

    • Outlook will reopen together with the DevTools window.
    • In DevTools, select Application.
    • Under Storage, find https://outlook.office.com in Local Storage, right‑click it, and choose Clear.

    • Do the same under Cookies for https://outlook.office.com.

    • Close the DevTools window.

For Outlook on the web, open your browser’s site settings and clear cookies and site data specifically for outlook.office.com, then test again.

    4. Try saving a simple event in your primary calendar (in OWA)

Create a new event with no attendees, no Teams meeting toggle, no attachments, and a simple subject. If this saves successfully, the issue may be tied to Teams meeting creation or how the event is routed, rather than the calendar itself.

    If the problem continues:

Please contact your IT administrator so they can review your account configuration. If needed, an admin can also open a Microsoft 365 support ticket through the Admin Center. This allows Microsoft’s Exchange/Calendar engineering team to review your tenant’s back‑end logs and identify exactly where the failure is occurring.

I hope this information helps. Please try the steps and let me know whether they resolve the issue. If the problem persists, we can work together to find a solution.

The error “Something went wrong. We couldn't send your calendar event” when creating events in new Outlook, Outlook on the web, and Teams has been resolved in a similar case simply by restarting the PC. After the restart, calendar events could be created and sent normally again.

Since restarting the laptop has already been tried and the issue persists, the next step is to fully restart the device again after ensuring all Office/Outlook/Teams processes are closed, then test creating a calendar event once more. If the problem still occurs across new Outlook, Outlook on the web, and Teams, escalation to Microsoft support is recommended, as the behavior goes beyond the documented quick fix.
