I would like my cord to be replaced. It doesn't work and I only purchased my Surface Pro in August.

The AC power cord recall and free replacement only apply to specific Surface Pro models and purchase dates.
For a free recall replacement, the cord must be from one of these devices sold before March 15, 2015:
Original Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2 customers qualify for one free replacement AC power cord per eligible device, without proof of damage. Surface Pro 3 customers qualify only if the device was purchased before March 15, 2015 and has the old-style AC power cord.
Since the Surface Pro in this case was purchased in August (after March 15, 2015), it is not covered by this specific AC power cord recall program. For a non-working cord outside the recall scope, support must be contacted directly to review warranty options.
