I never received the advertised linked premium subscrition after signing up for microsoft 365 for students. Which, to be honest, is the only reason I signed up. This seems not right. Can I get some assistance on this?

Many people are reporting this, Microsoft indicated they only had a limited number of redemption codes that could be claimed directly through Microsoft in specific regions, and that offer ended a couple of weeks ago, it is not currently available, they may introduce a new offer in the future.

The LinkedIn Premium trial offer is not documented in the provided references, so direct troubleshooting steps for that specific promotion are not available here.

Based on similar student-offer scenarios in the context, the most effective next step is to contact Microsoft support directly so they can check the subscription, eligibility, and any associated promotional emails on the account:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 support entry point: Contact Microsoft 365 Support.
    2. Choose the Microsoft 365 & Office product category and a billing/subscription topic (for example, “Manage my subscription”).
    3. Use the “Chat with a support agent” or phone option so an agent can:
      • Verify the Microsoft 365 Education subscription status.
      • Check whether the LinkedIn Premium promotion is attached to the subscription.
      • Investigate why the promotional email or activation link was not delivered and advise on eligibility or alternatives.

If the subscription was obtained through a third-party (for example, a university or a retailer), support may also direct to that organization if the promotion was managed on their side.
